An awful lot of perfume getting thrown around in this flick. Frankly, I'm allergic to it. If I so much as walk past a cologne counter in a department store, about 18 to 30 hours later, my face feels like it's on fire, and it turns red as a beet, like someone took a blowtorch to me. And it lasts a couple days.

There are some hot looking men in the beginning of this movie. Just my type. Hence, it gets some points.

Hell, they want you to spray their perfume in every crack and crevice you can find! In the closet, in the dresser drawer, poured in the bath, sprayed on the bed, rinse your lingerie in it, I mean how much 'scent' do you have to have? This is a nightmare for those who are allergic. There didn't seem to be a room or a surface that didn't get a liberal amount of perfume covering it.

It's a little rich, I'd say, for this AVON promotional video to be giving us this little travelogue of where natural components come from.

Safe to say, TOPAZ, HERE'S MY HEART, COTILLION and RAPTURE were not conceived or produced in Grasse, France.

I also suspect the AVON fragrances to contain little, if any, naturally-derived essences. I'd say even in 1962 (where I'm placing this video) most of the AVON fragrances were comprised of synthetics and aldehydes.

Still, this video is gorgeous, and these ladies really look very glam indeed. Don't you love all the moueing our Suzy Parker lookalike does as she applies her AVON?

i'm a lady, but if i wore this much scent all over my body and all thru my house, my husband would go batty. heaven forbid if this woman cuts a fart. the smell would make her swoon!!
